As part of my University degree, I was set with the challenge to create a visitor attraction over 3 months. I had the pleasure of presenting the resort to industry professionals from around the UK. My role as Lead Creative Designer for the resort was to imagine, design, and create; the themes, stories, rides, layout, names, marketing, branding, and everything visually surrounding the resort.

Disclaimer: Due to the project's three-month time constraint, I want to ensure that everyone can visualise Mythantica as I intended. Therefore the content above was created with the assistance of AI, which served as a foundation that I then adapted to incorporate my personal style. However, all concepts, ideas, and stories presented are entirely my own creations.
Mythantica is a mythical world in the center of creation with 6 immersive lands, themed to the 5 core elements, and represents and showcases cultures from all over the world. The Elements and authentic stories from around the world are at the center of the attractions and can be followed and told in a new light, allowing the guest to be completely immersed from entering the queue line to walking back out into the land. At Mythantica all of the rides are themed experiences that immerse the guests into well-known stories allowing them to learn, explore, and be transported to a mythical world only seen in our imagination, through centuries of stories passed down from every corner of the planet.
The six realms include Ko matou Reef; Born from the waters of the Tanagora volcano.
Bleakmoor; Created from the element earth, shadowed by the mighty Bleakmoor castle.
Infernia; is forged from a spark gifted by the fire dragon Zhulong and the mother spider.
Acacia Ridge; A protected village grown from a single acacia tree on the plains of shadows.
Dorado City; A hidden city cast from solid gold stolen from the temple of lost souls.
Mythic point is the center of creation and the hub of Mythantica made from all 5 elements and represents all world culture. Mythic Point is home to our on-site hotel portals and the storyteller who is the face of the brand and embedded in all the lands and stories.

I created a large white model which showcases all the beacons of Mythantica. Each realm of the park has a large center piece (weenie) which creates visual magnets that draw guests from one area to another, as well as being the symbol and spirit of that land reflecting the realm's element and culture. My goal was to create a full projection-mapped show that transformed the model into the true spirit of Mythantica. From the very beginning, I knew this was a project I had to do, and I couldn't be happier with the result. Using materials like card foam and anything I could find, I brought to life a world inspired by the beacons and the storyteller lantern. My goal is to allow you to experience what It's like stepping into a magical realm where ancient tales come alive and mythical wonders unfold before your eyes. The beacons of Mythantica hold a special significance in this creation. They represent the essence of different mythical elements, guiding visitors through the enchanting world I've built. The Storyteller's lantern adds an extra layer of wonder, illuminating the narratives and bringing them to life in a mesmerizing way. Months of hard work, dedication, and creativity went into crafting this masterpiece, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with all of you.

As you journey deep into the temple of lost souls you can ride Tezcatlipoca, our interactive shooting dark ride. But, someone on the ride can't resist the temptation and takes a piece of the treasure, angering the powerful gods. Suddenly, the atmosphere shifts, and you must navigate a heart-pounding escape, narrowly avoiding the wrath of the vengeful gods.
On Safari of Shadows: Wrath of the Ancients you'll embark on a daring quest where ancient African gods and mythical creatures await. you'll feel the thrill of the chase and Follow the footsteps of African spirits, guided by the animals themselves, as you strive to abolish the twisted spirits that lurk in the shadows. Are you ready to unleash the power of the savanna and rewrite the story of legends?
Phantoms Passage is a traditional Victorian ghost train, where vintage scares and effects set the stage for a classic fright. As you embark on your journey, the atmosphere becomes eerily immersive, and you start to question the line between fiction and reality. Unbeknownst to the riders, the train is possessed by the most malevolent spirits from the depths of hell itself.
In the 5 Realms of Mythantica, There are 3 rollercoasters, a wide variety of dark rides including new unseen ride technology, and a collection of immersive flat rides. Offering a world-class portfolio of different rides, attractions, and experiences.

Resort Layout and Operation

The layout has been designed to incorporate all aspects of efficient operations. The operations map you see here shows the park and hotel. All major indoor attractions are on the edge of the park which allows emergency access and evacuation onto service roads. As well as being able to have full indoor queue lines and show buildings as they are hidden outside guest areas behind themed facades. it also aids as a sound barrier to prevent noise pollution in the surrounding areas. Here is the full resort map, with the main 6-carriageway road that allows maximum efficiency and access to the 2 multi-story guest car parks indicated in purple. And the network or service roads which are shown in orange. As shown in yellow are the staff car parks around the resort and pink shows the staff buildings and facilities. All of our food and beverage locations with kitchens are fully accessible to fire engines in case of any incident involving fire or injury. All of the resort can be accessed by ambulance and fire engines eliminating further potential risk. The park has also been designed to allow easy guest flow through the day, with an additional path in mythic point to aid exit after the Aurora show.

Marketing Mix
I decided that the Mythantica marketing mix would start 12 months before opening, utilising various marketing streams to reach all of Mythantica's target markets. These include; above-the-line marketing which will focus on frequency and wide reach. Some ways Mythantica will achieve this are TV adverts, radio, and gorilla marketing. Mythantica's shuttle buses from airports will be covered in branding and Mythantica will have video advertising in public places all over the country (as seen below). The through-the-line marketing will be a large social media campaign starting with Something Mythic is Coming, an example of how this will be executed is already live on our Instagram page. Below the line, marketing will see the cost per conversion and aim to reach new customers within the target market, through emails and influencers.

Mythantica will open to guests with 3 ticket systems, a scan code ticket system, with both email tickets that can be used on a mobile or printed out, as well as NFC technology which allows mobile phones to be used as tickets and passes without the use for scanning any codes, this technology is already installed on all mobile devices though things such as apple wallet, NFC technology will also be linked to our 2 seasons passes, the aurora pass and lantern pass as well as our Ride Access system encouraging uses to switch to NFC and utilize the app.

I am so grateful to the Industry experts who took time out of their day to see our resort pitch and Aurora show! I am so proud to see how much Mythantica grew over just 3 months and I am so proud of the rest of the Mythantica team who brought the concept and operations to life achieving a first with a phenomenal mark of 87!
